Yak Hair was a challenging yet fasctinating request
A unique and unexpected requested, a client reached out from Minnesota to see if we would be willing to work with Yak hair.
While I had never handled Yak hair before, I was eager to see if I could make it happen. A few days later a box of fluff arrived to my mailbox.
I was captivated with how soft and fluffy the hair was, but with patience and a little extra time, I was able to turn it into stunning keepsakes.
giraffe hair bracelets? Yes, We've done it.
A caretaker at a US based wildlife conservation center reached out to discuss options. Over the course of several years, she had meticulously collected naturally shed strands of tail hair from the giraffes she had cared for.
A challenge to say the least, as the strands were extremely thick and coarse. We used six strands of hair per bracelet. Each was hand braided and tied, accented with a loop closure, and bead finish of the client's choice colors.
Not just cat hair, but whiskers in specific.
When her cat passed away, one client retained whiskers from her beloved kitty. She desperately wanted the perfect design to memorialize her furry friend.
We wanted to do something that showcased the colors, without sacrificing the length. This design showcased them perfectly.

When her guinea pig passed away, one client searched the world for someone who would create a keepsake from the hair.
She sent her guinea pig's hair to us in the United States, all the way from the United Kingdom!
